our story

It was on a day in October 2011 when both Nomagugu and Mabuti had a joint meeting with Freddy Venter, then Branch Manager of Standard Bank’s Northgate Branch.  Mabuti had arrived early for the meeting and Freddy, ever the mischievous one, had established that Mabuti was unmarried.  As soon as Nomagugu walked in Feddy blurted out “my friend, this is Mabuti, he is not married and I have already told him that you are also not married, and please don’t act difficult”.  By the end of the meeting Mabuti was pleased that Nomagugu had a great sense of humour and couldn’t wait to conclude their work assignment so he could plan a date a couple of weeks later. 

 

Unfortunately, life had different plans for the couple but fate brought them back together again on 25 February 2020 and they have been inseparable since.
